Rockport continues to drive online sales thru GSI e-commerce solutions

GSI Commerce Inc and Rockport announced a multiyear extension to their e-commerce agreement, which includes Web technology, logistics, customer care and marketing services.
“Rockport continues to drive online sales through its commitment to developing high-quality, comfortable footwear and the leadership and strategic e-commerce solutions provided by GSI,” said Curtis Charles, senior vice president of sales for Rockport. “GSI's scale allows it to continually enhance its platform and build its expertise. We accrue innovative benefits from GSI's investment in its online platform.”
Since partnering with GSI in 2003, several features have been added to Rockport's Web store including product picks by Rockport staff and a personal shopper merchandising feature that gives customers the option to shop and navigate based on products attributes outside of gender. Recently, GSI provided Rockport's Web store with an updated look and feel and coordinated branding.
“Part of the value inherent in a GSI e-commerce solution is that we continually reinvest in our platform for the sole purpose of growing the online businesses of our partners,” said Robert Liewald, executive vice president of merchandising for GSI Commerce. “We look forward to continuing to collaborate with Rockport to strengthen their brand online.”
