Centexbel will hold a lecture or to present a poster on the occasion of the PPE conference that will take place in Ghent, Belgium, from May 21 to 23, 2008.
All lectures and posters accepted by the scientific conference committee will be published in the proceedings of the conference.
The PPE user will be at the centre of attention of this conference: • the PPE user in his/her working environment • the PPE user as a private person
The scope comprises all possible current and future aspects related to the use of PPE. The contributions may therefore address such diverse topics as: • protection efficiency of PPE • ergonomics and comfort • maintenance and cleaning • hygiene • durability • logistics and other economical aspects • regulations • product and material innovation • psychological aspects (awareness campaigns, etc.) • PPE for specific groups of the population • PPE for specific sectors of activity ...
This conference wishes to be a forum and a meeting place for all stakeholders in the process of design, selection, use and maintenance of PPE, such as: • user groups (companies, branch organisations, emergency services,…) • (labour and market surveillance) authorities researchers • notified bodies and test houses • textile cleaning and rental services • PPE producers and distributors
