Discovery to implement Epicor|CRS' Microsoft .NET retail solution

Epicor|CRS, the Retail Solutions Division of Epicor Software Corporation – a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions to the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies announced Discovery Clothing, the largest independently owned and operated clothing retailer in Chicagoland, has selected Epicor|CRS' retail store management solutions to help the clothing company continue its robust growth while ensuring it is offering customers a quality shopping experience.
Discovery operates 21 stores in the greater Chicagoland area, and has recently opened its newest store in Milwaukee, Wisc. Geared to 15-to-30-year-old women, Discovery offers the trendiest fashions – from active wear and casual attire to club clothing and career looks – at deep discounted prices. With more than 1,500 customers shopping in each store daily, inventory is turned over every two-and-a-half weeks so each location is always stocked with the freshest collection.
In addition to Epicor|CRS' Microsoft .NET-based RetailStore point-of-sale (POS), Merchandising and Financials applications, Discovery plans to implement the CRS MobileStore and ReturnsManagement modules, leveraging Epicor|CRS' professional services group for deployment support.
RetailStore is a feature-rich store system that empowers store personnel to provide a better customer experience and more effectively manage a chain of integrated stores. RetailStore supports advanced real-time integration to other stores and the home office, and provides a comprehensive transaction set, including full featured POS, advanced promotional deal pricing, a complete set of back office store management functions and central lookup features to improve service, such as return/exchange validation.
Discovery will use the MobileStore solution to extend key store system functionality via PocketPC-based wireless devices, to support activities such as inventory management and item lookup. Discovery will also deploy ReturnsManagement, a centralized, cross-channel returns management application that helps ensure accurate refunds, improves customer service and employee compliance and prevents refund fraud.
In addition, Discovery will implement Epicor|CRS' Merchandising solution, a set of powerful tools that helps improve decision making, create efficiencies, and build sales and profitability.
