Rocawear Speeds Products to Market with Yunique Solutions
Fashion & lifecycle business management tools provider Yunique Solutions Inc announced that Rocawear has implemented its plmOn solution at its Manhattan headquarters.
Since initial implementation began in October 2004, the browser-based PLM solution and supporting business process consulting services provided by Yunique have enabled the urban wear marketer to reduce product development cycle times in its core businesses by 66%.
Privately-held Comet Intercontinental Inc, operating as Rocawear (www.rocawear.com), was formed in 1999 by record producer and entrepreneur Damon Dash and hip-hop artist Jay-Z. With sales of approximately $350 million in 2004, the company markets and licenses a wide range of men's, women's, and children's apparel and accessories online and through department and specialty stores.
“Yunique has helped us to get everyone from design through sourcing working on the same page”, stated Dana Kopet, Manager of MIS at Rocawear. “Before we implemented the system, our internal communications were lacking. If we ask five people the same question, they would get five different answers. Now, we hit our timelines far better and actually get things done on time.” “Because they are now more on the ball, it rarely need to review or repeat steps.”
