The Inter-American Development Bank's Multilateral Investment Fund will hold its first fair to support dissemination and marketing of information and communication technology (ICT) solutions and services for small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America and the Caribbean, PyMETIC, on November 9 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The fair will be organized in partnership with Serviço de Apoio às Micro e Pequenas Empresas of Rio de Janeiro (SEBRAE-RJ), and with the support of the French-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce of Rio de Janeiro and the Institute for the Connectivity in the Americas (IDRC/ICA).
Over 500 visitors from more than 200 organizations are expected to attend PyMETIC, representing a broad range of areas involved in ICT in the region, such as the software industry, chambers of commerce, business associations, government institutions, multilateral organizations, experts, academics and businessmen.
Exhibitors from more than 20 countries, including not for profit organizations and private companies involved in developing ICT solutions targeted to small and medium-sized enterprises, will participate with products and services.
During the fair, MIF will officially launch a call for proposals for ICT pilot projects in the context of its Innovation Program for E-Business and Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises Development (ICT4BUS).
