Thomas Meyer, owner and founder of Zimtstern: “For us it wasn't enough to meet ecological requirements only during material selection in our DLX line. We wanted the complete supply chain to meet highest standards in terms of low environmental impact and minimal resource consumption. We were finally able to fulfil this vision by working together with Swiss based bluesign technologies AG.”

“The bluesign standard stands for textiles that are low on harmful substances, an environmentally friendly production and a careful use of resources. Bluesign technologies AG certifies products and companies who consistently implement the bluesign system in their business."

"The cooperation with bluesign technologies ag allows us to benefit from their know-how and experience concerning practicable solutions for the complete textile manufacturing process. With this background we are able to make the right decisions four our products, our costumers and the environment.”

Zimtstern was founded in Switzerland in 1995. Born from the idea of developing European snowboard wear, that combines top functionality with attractive design details. The two company founders Thomas Meyer and Reto Kuster transformed their passion into business and founded one of the very first Swiss snowboard apparel brands. This small do-it-yourself garage label developed fast into a stylistic influential brand that relentlessly spreads beyond its Swiss boarders.
