Adidas Sourcing Limited (India) & Reebok (Director, Sourcing) visits FDDI:
"Paul Griffiths, Managing Director, Adidas Sourcing Limited (India) and John P. Harrison Head, Sales /Marketing/Sourcing/Manufacturing, Network Project Management Asia Pacific visited the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), Noida along with Mr. Sanjay Kant, Director - Sourcing, Adidas and Mr. Anil Sahoo, Director, Sourcing Reebok on 10th December, 2007.
They had a long discussion with the Managing Director for technical training collaboration. They offered technical training services for sports footwear for specialization of FDDI's final year students.
Mr. Rajeev Lakhara, IRS, Managing Director, FDDI, briefed about the institute & said, “FDDI is a brand in itself-one that is catering to changing market demands by churning out quality professionals. "
They also informed that Adidas-Group in India has plans to expand multifold. They require trained manpower in large numbers for their future projects.
During the visit they interacted with staff and students. They were highly impressed with the vision of FDDI's management, the facility, the infrastructure & services provided by FDDI to the industry.
They also appreciated the efforts made by the FDDI for human resource development. They also welcomed initiative of FDDI, to establish FDDI branches at Chennai, Kolkata, and in Haryana/Punjab, in addition to the branch being established at Rae Bareli.
