Avery Dennison promotes two executives

Avery Dennison Corporation announced the promotion of two executives, Susan C. Miller and Timothy G. Bond, effective March 1, 2008.

Miller was promoted to senior vice president and general counsel from vice president and general counsel. As general counsel, Miller has overall responsibility for general legal matters affecting Company operations, and management responsibility for all attorneys. She will continue to be a member of the Corporate Leadership Team and the Corporate Mergers and Acquisition Committee, and will attend Board of Directors meetings.

"Sue has been a valued member of the Avery Dennison team since she joined the Company in 1991," said Dean A. Scarborough, president and chief executive officer. "She has played a key role in a number of businesses and geographic regions during her career, has demonstrated excellent leadership, legal and business skills and has done an excellent job as general counsel since her appointment last year."

Bond was promoted to group vice president of Avery Dennison's worldwide Office Products businesses from vice president and general manager of the Office Products business. As group vice president, Bond will provide strategic leadership for the Office Products businesses in North America, Latin America, Europe and Asia Pacific.

He is responsible for continuing to build competitive advantage for the Avery brand in world markets and aggressively pursuing additional opportunities in printable media.
