US Retail Catalogues: Many US retailers don't ship into Canada. This is largely due to unfamiliarity with the market landscape, Canada's taxation and duty laws, the prohibitive cost of building a Canadian e-commerce site and currency conversions. Now, if they partner with Canada Post Borderfree, US retailers can mirror their domestic customer experience for Canadian shoppers and expand their market share across the border hassle-free.

Borderfree Promotions: Getting Ready for the Holidays
In celebration of the upcoming holiday season, Borderfree is teaming up with two of Canada's leading home decor and fashion experts, Chris Hyndman and Steven Sabados, to inspire Canadians to get ready in style. For each purchase made with one of Borderfree's retail partners between October 3, 2005 and January 15, 2006, consumers get three chances to win a personal home and fashion consultation by Chris and Steven valued at $20,000.

Toronto based retailer customer service representative Borderfree was founded in 1999 as a technology services company designed to help Canadian consumers shop online at any US e-commerce retailer as well as deliver purchases into Canada.

Canada Post recognized the growth potential of the shop direct industry in Canada and the value of the services offered by Borderfree. Canada Post entered into a partnership with Borderfree in 2003 and in 2005, wholly acquired Borderfree to serve two purposes.
