Isetan expands Teradata Platform for Data-Warehouse management

Isetan Mitsukoshi Holdings Ltd has been pushing ahead with a project to integrate information system support operations for the Isetan/Mitsukoshi group so that the group can demonstrate its total strengths. As the first step of this project, the information system division of Isetan Co Ltd (its operations, assets and human resources) was merged into Isetan Data Center (IDC) Co Ltd in April 2008.
As the second step, the information system division of Mitsukoshi Information Service Co., Ltd., an information system subsidiary of Mitsukoshi Ltd. was merged into IDC on July 1, 2008. These mergers have given IDC the ability to provide total system support for the group, from planning to implementation and utilization. IDC is now renamed as Isetan Mitsukoshi System Solutions (IMS) Limited. As the third step, the holdings company is going to put IMS under its direct control as its subsidiary in October 2008.
