Bar-Code Labeling Systems by Avery Dennison Printer
Ultimate solutions provider Avery Dennison Printer Systems (ADPS) announced that their wireless operation now available with full line of Avery Dennison RFID and Bar-Code labeling systems.
Wireless ethernet connectivity is now available for all current production Avery Dennison Printer Systems printers and print/apply labeling systems, including the AVERY DENNISON 6405 Wireless RFID printer.
The wireless capability enhances RFID and bar code labeling flexibility in apparel, footwear, retail and industrial packaging and labeling operations, and potentially reduces costs associated with wired networks.
Wireless-enabled systems communicate remotely with routers and other devices using electromagnetic waves. Companies can now order wireless-ready printers and print/apply systems from Avery Dennison, along with the external components and power supply that equip the systems for wireless operation.
Once deployed, the systems can be transported as needed to various locations within a facility and operated remotely without wired connections.
According to Avery Dennison Printer Systems Marketing Manager Dan Williams, wireless operation offers valuable business benefits. "For example," Williams says that it can eliminate the need to install or upgrade wiring in older and multi-story facilities, reducing labeling costs.
In a related development, Avery Dennison Printer Systems has introduced a wireless flash card for AVERY DENNISON AP5.4 RFID Printers. Users can upgrade an existing AP5.4 RFID printer to wireless capability simply by inserting the card into the printer's card slot.
