NanoBusiness Alliance SEMI and Small Times Media announced the first Emerging NanoBusiness Showcase (ENBS), which will be held in conjunction with the NanoCommerce/SEMI NanoForum in Chicago's McCormick Place, November 1-3.
The ENBS is a novel conference platform that combines technical content and company presentations by 20 jury-selected participants. The objective of ENBS is to introduce revolutionary technologies, innovative applications and compelling commercialization strategies while providing presenters with increased exposure to potential funding sources, new customers and business partners.
Companies chosen to participate in the ENBS were qualified by a distinguished panel of experts and business leaders, including venture capitalists and corporate business development executives, from companies such as the Oregon Nanoscience and Microelectronics Institute, DFJ Portage and Deloitte Services, among others.
'Over the past five years, there has been an overwhelming surge in nanotech research and development, and now companies are beginning to introduce revolutionary and viable nanotechnologies to market,' said Robert D. 'Skip' Rung, President and Executive Director at the Oregon Nanoscience and Microelectronics Institute.
'They chose these companies to take part in the ENBS because they are leading innovators with technologies that represent the potential of what nanotechnology can achieve,' said Lubab Sheet, senior director of nanotechnology at SEMI.
