The first estimate for extra-EU exports of goods in August **** was €***.* billion, down by *.* per cent compared with August **** at €***.* billion. Imports from the rest of the world stood at €***.* billion, down by **.* per cent compared with August **** at €***.* billion. As a result, the EU recorded a €*.* billion surplus in trade in goods with the rest of the world in August ****, compared with a deficit of €**.* billion in August ****. Intra-EU trade fell to €***.* billion in August ****, -**.* per cent compared with August ****.
