Japan's textile & clothing imports rise in Jan-Jun 2023

In the first half of this calendar year, imports for textile yarn and fabric amounted to ***,*** million yen, marking a *.* per cent decline compared to the same period in the previous year. These imports accounted for *.* per cent of Japan&#**;s total imports. 

From January to June ****, Japan&#**;s exports of textile yarn and fabric were valued at ***,*** million yen, an increase of *.* per cent year-on-year. Meanwhile, the country&#**;s textile machinery exports rose to ***,*** million yen, a significant increase of **.* per cent from the corresponding period of ****. These exports contributed *.* per cent to Japan&#**;s total exports.
