Sri Lanka's garment exports up 12% to $1,283 mn in Jan-Mar 2025

During the first quarter of ****, textile exports rose by *.* per cent, totalling $**.* million. Over the same period, exports of other manufactured textile articles declined by *.* per cent, amounting to $**.* million, as reported in the Central Bank&#**;s publication External Sector Performance – March ****.

Combined exports of textiles, garments, and other manufactured textile articles accounted for **.** per cent of all industrial exports from Sri Lanka during this period. Total textile product exports amounted to $*,***.* million in January–March ****, while the country’s overall industrial exports were valued at $*,***.* million for the same period.
