US' textiles & apparel exports ease 3.75% to $9.9 bn in Jan-May 2023

Among the top ten markets, textile and apparel shipments to the Netherlands increased by **.** per cent to $***.*** million in the first five months of ****. Exports also increased to the United Kingdom (**.** per cent) and Dominican Republic (*.** per cent). However, shipments to Canada, China, Guatemala, Nicaragua, Mexico, and Japan experienced a decline of up to **.** per cent. The US supplied $*,***.*** million worth of textiles and apparel to Mexico during this period, followed by $*,***.*** million to Canada and $***.*** million to Honduras. 

Category-wise, apparel exports increased by *.** per cent year-on-year to $*,***.*** million, while fabric exports decreased by *.** per cent to $*,***.*** million in January-May of this year. The exports of yarn and made-up and miscellaneous articles decreased by *.** per cent to $*,***.*** million and **.** per cent to $*,***.*** million, respectively, during the same period.
