US' textiles & apparel imports drop 21.8% to $81.1 bn in Jan-Sept 2023

Non-apparel imports saw an **.** per cent decline to $**.*** billion, down from $**.*** billion previously, as reported by the US Department of Commerce&#**;s Major Shippers Report. Both categories experienced a reduction in inbound shipments. 

Notably, among the US’ top ten apparel suppliers, none reported an increase in exports. The sharpest declines were from China and Cambodia, falling by **.** per cent and **.** per cent, respectively. Other significant reductions included imports from Pakistan by **.** per cent, Vietnam by **.** per cent, Indonesia by **.** per cent, Honduras by **.** per cent, Bangladesh by **.** per cent, and India by **.** per cent.
