Budget bugle is resounded hard in the country and textile industry, one of the largest revenue earners of India, is much concerned over this.

Manoj Kumar Tibrewal, Managing Director, Gangotri Textiles sends his comments on budget exclusively to Fibre2fashion.

He expects that high-quality and high-speed infrastructure like roads, airports, ports and power should be encouraged.

Considering faster growth of urbanization, high quality of urban development should be promoted. New generation reform is required for Municipal corporation reform. This will enable growth of city without slums.

Income tax exemption limit should go upto Rs2-3 lakhs in view of very high cost of living, cost of trasnportation and cost of education/health care etc.

Simplification of rules/formats

Reduction of custom duty on capital goods/specially infrastructure related, pollution control related and renewal energy (like wind mill) related.
