Union Budget has been favorable to most industries, especially textiles. Most of the major industry players consider this budget satisfactory.
Dr. A.B. Mandal, Acting Director, Central Leather Research Institute CLRI, expressed his views to Fibre2fashion:
“Budget is ok, and from economy piont of view it is nice. India will globally fare better with this budget. Our industry will also benefit. Budget is progressive but many things will have to be included in coming years. This budget will improve India's competitiveness with other countries.”
