Turkiye's budget surplus in August this year was 96.7 billion Turkish liras (~$2.37 billion), according to data from the Treasury and Finance Ministry.

The budget revenues were at 1.3 trillion Turkish liras (~$31.86 billion) in the month, while expenditures amounted to 1.19 trillion liras (~$29.16 billion).

Non-interest budget balance saw a surplus of 276.4 billion liras (~$6.77 billion) in the month.

Interest payments were worth 179.7 billion liras (~$4.4 billion) in the month.

The budget deficit between January and August was 907.6 billion liras (~$23.73 billion), with revenues worth 7.98 trillion liras (~$208.6 billion) and expenditures worth 8.89 trillion liras (~$232.4 billion).

Non-interest budget balance posted a surplus of 518 billion liras (~$13.54 billion) over the eight-month period.
