Online retailing takes a new step via TripleThread

The fast catching trend of online retailing has reached another milestone as the Los Angeles-based technology incubator ‘Science’ has launched a new push-based commerce platform called TripleThread, which would help independent boutiques to connect with qualified customers on a national level.

The newly designed web portal will allow retailers to offer stylist-selected shop at home service to their customers with the help of paid advertising columns on popular websites like Google or Facebook.

By clicking on the advertisements the customers will be directed to a new site where they will be asked to fill out an application form with questions ranging from their favourite colours to spending habits.

After completion of the form, the user will be asked to use Facebook Connect, which would further help TripleThread to review the social graph of the customer and recommend specific brands and boutiques to suit his styles and tastes.

As part of its joint work associations with boutiques, the California-based TripleThread has already unveiled its first-ever in-house boutique ‘Fourth and Grand’, which will allow men to get a personalized monthly box of formal attires along with the advantage of paying only for what they want to keep and return the rest.
