Australia's wool & sheepskin exports at $1,126 mn in Jan-Apr 2023

Australia has exported wool and sheepskin worth $1,126 million during January-April 2023 which was slightly lower than the shipment of $1,141 million in the corresponding period of 2022, according to the provisional trade statistics released by the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS). 

Australia is one of the major producers and suppliers of wool and sheepskin in the world. The country exported wool and sheepskin worth $279 million during April 2023. The shipment declined against the export of $320 million in April 2022. Last month, the country’s export was valued at $389 million. 

The country exported $3,489 million worth of these products in 2022 against the shipment of $3,367 million in 2021.
