Aussie wool may blend with B'ldesh cotton, says Agri Minister
12 Jan '06
1 min read
Australia's depressed wool industry may be able to export wool to Bangladesh, said Agriculture Minister Kim Chance.
Chance said he would like to survey the market for opportunities to blend wool with cotton in Bangladesh.
The technology of combining of wool and cotton has been around for 40-odd years, it's not a new technology.
There are possibilities to expand the use of this particular fabric, he said.
The Minister is likely to visit Bangladesh next week while on a tour to United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Algeria and Turkey.
