The twenty-second Wool Market held at Stanley Fairgrounds located in Colorado’s Estes Park town attracted over 10,000 visitors during the wo-day event.

A whole range of fibre animals and products made from their wool were put up for exhibition-cum-sale at the event, which also featured several demonstrations, contests and a children’s tent.

The more than 50 stalls set up at the event offered varied products like novelty knitting and crocheting yarns, fleeces, raw fibres, finished coats, hats, scarves, shawls and fibre processing equipments.

Detailed explanations regarding several herding techniques as well as fibre preparation, shearing, spinning and weaving were provided to the visitors, who even got a chance to learn packing an llama for hiking or hunting.

The Children’s Tent afforded an opportunity to the young as well as the old to participate in various activities like spinning, loom weaving and rope weaving.

Sheep, alpaca, llama and Cashmere & Angora goat competitions and fleece contests were also held during the event.
