Skirtings were less affected in the early part of the week, but eased sharply on Thursday. Crossbreds were down, but by smaller amounts than those seen for Merino wools. The fall in Crossbred MPGs since the start of the season is also less than the falls for Merino MPGs.

Oddments were down, but by less than the falls for fleece types.

Buyers for China were dominant, with support from buyers for, India, Korea and Europe.

Sales will be held in Sydney, Melbourne and Fremantle next week, when 50,505 bales are currently rostered for sale. The present estimate for the following two sales (Weeks 43 and 44) is 43,250 and 40,100 bales, respectively; a decrease of 1.7% over the three sale period when compared with last year.
