Catanduanes will host the Abaca Expo'06 next week in an attempt to draw investors pool in much-needed finances for processing projects.
Proudly promoting itself as the "Abaca Capital of the Philippines," Catanduanes will display abaca and its uses during this exhibition of abaca-based products and technological demos, besides presentation of the ranking of the abaca industry in the province.
The expo will focus on core competence of Catanduanes as a dealer of abaca in volume and offering excellent quality to buyers, agents and industrial clients.
A guided tour arranged on the May 18-19, 2006, aims to create awareness about the abaca industry in Catanduanes.
