A Fashion Week will be held in September in New York, featuring Jay McCarroll's fur-free collection solely sponsored for Project Runway, by the Humane Society, which advocates rights for animals.
Since there are many fun and fashionable alternatives, there's no reason to use fur, stated McCarroll who won Bravo's 2005 design competition, will show his animal-friendly line.
Many other international fashion designers have also given up using animal fur in their collections, Ralph Lauren, Stella McCartney, H+M and J.Crew to name a few.
