In an auction, finest wool in Western Australia was sold at highest price ever offered.

This perfect fleece is created by former animal science professor David Lindsay, who was working at his Serpentine property for past 16 years.

The bale produced by Lindsay is having micron count of 13.4, finest manufactured in Western Australia.

He crossbred different types of sheep and adopted scientific approach for creating this wool.

It is delicate like silk and quite different from ordinary wool in the market.

Bale of 102 kilogram was sold at US $42 per kilogram in the auction held in Fremantle.

The bales were sold to UK firm which manufactures fine suits sold on London's Saville Row.
