“A group of Directors from Primary Wool Cooperative Limited and Wool Grower Holdings Ltd met recently in Palmerston North. The meeting was initiated so that they could jointly undertake discussions to consider a range of options for the benefit of the wool industry. Both boards felt it was important to inform New Zealand wool growers of their willingness to enter into discussions for the betterment of the industry."

Primary Wool Cooperative Limited (PWC) was formed by a group of local farmers in 1974 to increase the returns for wool growers. Over the ensuing 35 years, membership has grown to over 800 and significant investment and involvement has been made in the NZ wool industry. The proven grower owned and controlled cooperative structure remains paramount.
