China buys major Australian wool output

A recently released wool report reveals that China is the biggest importer of Australian wool and is buying nearly 75 percent of domestic wool production.

However Taiwan and India too have increased their imports in recent years, says the report. But a decline is clearly visible in imports by countries of the European Union.

In particular, shipments to Italy one of the biggest importers of Australian is down by 50 percent in 2009, when compared with the previous year.
