Wool growers are upset that they are not being paid any premium for unmulesed wool. According to Wool Producers Australia, the main reason being, unmulesed wool is not available in large quantities.
Greg Weller, Executive Director of Wool Producers Australia says buyers are looking at New Zealand and South Africa as Australia is still not able to provide the volumes required by the buyers.
He added by saying that the supply-gap due to the low quantities of unmulesed wool generated by Australian wool growers is being fulfilled by these two countries.
