Australian wool finds new destination

The Australian wool is all set to beget a third major destination – Egypt for the natural fibre produced in the country.

Schneider International and others have plans to set up topmaking and carbonising plant in Egypt.

The plant to be located in Sadat city will be able to process around 50,000 tons of super-fine wool annually.

This plant is expected to become a major competitor for major buyers from China and Italy.

The plant is expected to serve the European Union countries and is expected to be very competitive in terms of production cost.
