Its time for wool farmers to rejoice, as wool prices touch historic highs.

Following in the footsteps of another natural fibre; cotton, wool prices too have rallied to their highest point, in 23 years.

Average prices in the eastern parts averaged at just under $14 per kg, in the previous week.

According to experts, this price point was last witnessed in 1988. However, they add that, the value of wool today, is no where near, what it was in 1988.

Editorial note –
It was high time wool farmers got their due, as since long, farmers were not able to generate remunerative wool prices.
