Designer Paul Surridge recently confirmed his resignation from his position of creative director at Roberto Cavalli. “I have given much consideration to this decision and reached the conclusion that the mission I have signed on has changed and enters a new direction with a new perspective,” Surridge wrote on Instagram. The designer joined the brand in 2017.

“I now wish to focus on other projects that I put aside in order to achieve our common goals with Roberto Cavalli Group,” he wrote.

Surridge succeeded Peter Dundas, who quit the brand in October 2016.

A graduate of London’s Central Saint Martins, Surridge was earlier creative consultant with Acne Studios, with responsibility for coordination of the menswear collections. Before that, he was creative director of Z Zegna from 2011 to 2014. (DS)
