Adrianna Papell for E! Live from the Red Carpet, exclusive retail partner Lord & Taylor and E! are in search of the next great American fashion designer! The brand is now accepting submissions from students nationwide for a winning red carpet evening gown design to be unveiled on E!'s "Countdown to the Red Carpet Academy Awards" Special in February 2012.

Adam Berkman, COO of The Adrianna Papell Group, made the announcement earlier. "The Adrianna Papell for E! Live from the Red Carpet collection was designed to allow every woman to experience her own red carpet moment. This design contest takes the concept one step further and invites aspiring designers to do the same."

With the aid of eighteen fashion and design schools nationwide, including FIT, Parsons and RISD, the brand invites students to visit eonline's website and enter design submissions. Together, fans of the students and aspiring designers will narrow the pool down to the twenty-five top designs. The Adrianna Papell Group and E! will then reduce the pool to the final five, based on certain predetermined criteria.

Adrianna Papell will create samples of these five styles and fans will then select the grand prize winner, to be revealed on the red carpet. The grand prize designer will showcase his/her winning gown in front of millions of viewers nationwide on E!'s "Countdown to the Red Carpet Academy Awards" special on February 26, 2012. The designer will be awarded a $2,500 cash prize, and his/her red carpet design will be produced for the Spring 2012 collection.

ADRIANNA PAPELL FOR E! LIVE FROM THE RED CARPET was designed to make every woman look like a star. The collection is reminiscent of classic Hollywood glamour, incorporating feathers, ruffles, paillettes, plunging necklines, raised hemlines and draping fabrics. Women enjoy their own "red carpet moment" when they slip into one of the designs for weddings, proms — or even a night at the opera.
