Manish Tripathi designs 'Life Ke Toh Lag Gayi' range

Delhi based fashion designer, Manish Tripathi who hails from Lucknow and heads the fashion label antarDESI as the creative head has ventured into the Bollywood circuit for the first time by designing clothes and styling the stars of 'Life ke Toh Lag Gayi'.
Directed by debutant Rakesh Mehta, "Life Ki Toh Lag Gayi", features actors like Kay Kay Menon, Pradhuman Singh, Ranvir Shorey, Manu Rishi and Neha Bhasin in the lead roles.
When asked to highlight the factors he kept in mind while selecting the movie, Manish said, “There were no particular factors as such. What caught my eye was the character based nature of the movie, wherein there are 4 parallel off-beat stories running at the same time. The challenge was to dress each and every character to portray each one's strength and at the same time make them look exactly as the director has visualized”.
“The moment I saw his work, I knew Manish was the designer for the movie. The outfits have come out beautifully and have brought out the visual appeal of this project”, added Rakesh Mehta, director of the movie.
Pradhuman Singh who plays Ajay Ghosh is a must watch character. He has been portrayed as a rockstar and Manish's inspiration to dress him came from Jim Morrisson. The red sunglasses that Pradhuman has donned are Manish's personal favorite. On being asked about his own experience, Pradhuman said, “The production was a brilliant experience and Manish has brought out my characteristics really well”.
Ranveer Shorey, who plays the character of Amol Ganguly in the movie has been portrayed as a Bengali chef. Considering the brief from the director, the attire that Ranveer carries in the movie is quite simple; hence Manish laid emphasis on the kind of accessories (sunglasses, watches, etc.) that would go with the look.
As a passionate fashion design graduate, Manish has a keen inclination towards creative pattern-making that produces the most flattering fits on the body. His design philosophy is fresh and minimalist. Alongside, Manish is also a talented caricature artist. Through his unique style, he wishes to express the rampant corruption present in the country today.
