Melk Zda introduced winter 2006 collection at Fashion Rio.
Pernambuco stylist Melk Zda was inspired by the book by Frances Burnett, the Secret Garden, for his first solo presentation at Fashion Rio, informed ABIT.
The collection brings references of the universe of gardening in its prints, embroidery and applications, focusing on chrysanthemums and bromelias, as well as rose thorns. Pants, skirts and dresses in simple or structured shapes, away from the body and with the waist in place.
Tiered skirts with small fabrics, loose yarn in outfitted skirts, transparent blouses, bouffant shorts, and boleros are the shapes in the collection. Jeans appear in more rigid dresses with indigo flower applications, pleated necklines.
The dresses are covered in knit tulle with embroidery, reminiscent of the precious fertilizer, said the stylist. Fabrics: knits, silk, knit tulle, organza, linen and cotele velvet. The color chart is dominated by tones of gray, white, black, blue, green and and red.
