A pair of blue jeans is an inseparable part of every wardrobe today. In fact, denim has come a long way from being the most comfortable and wearable attire of the yesteryear to the modern-day must have piece of clothing.

To give the age-old classic denim fabric a special Indian touch, Arvind Mills, one of India's leading integrated manufacturer of textiles, has partnered with designer Rajesh Pratap Singh to design an exclusive collection of Indigo-dyed denims.

“I’ve been working with Arvind Mills for years now, earlier I had worked with them on excel as well as Khadi denims and currently, we are working on denims dyed with indigo in particular,” revealed the designer in an interview with fibre2fashion.

When prodded further about the designer’s nature of involvement in the project, he says, “This collection is very close to both of us and I have been working on it independently as well as with Arvind Mills as a team.”

“The collection is going to be a complete line of apparels and not just a pair of jeans. It is basically Khadi denim fabric dyed with natural indigo, which is both hand spun and hand woven,” he reveals.

At present, the collection is in the making and the designer expects it to take few more months to come out with it. “The collection will be made available at Arvind Mills-operated stores and some other selective Indian outlets and will also be later exported to foreign countries,” he adds.

Speaking ecstatically over his long time association with the textile giant, Mr. Singh says, “Working with Arvind Mills has been a fantastic experience.”
