Anna Sui, the extremely talented American fashion designer, has criticized the current generation of designers who are too busy to find fame through reality TV.

The 48-year-old designer thinks that instead of finding quick fame on fashion-based reality TV shows like Project Runway, the present lot of designers should concentrate on honing their designing skills, reported New York Daily News' Confidenti@l.

She agrees that reality shows do act as a good platform to showcase the works of upcoming designers but on the hindsight they also take away the attention from the core subject, which in this case are clothes.

Anna, who presented her debut runway show in 1991, is known for her classy evergreen historically and culturally inspired designs.

At present, she is gearing up to present her latest Fall/Winter 2013 collection at the forthcoming New York Fashion Week, slated to start from February 7, 2013.
