Sir Paul Smith, the veteran English fashion designer and a die-hard cycling aficionado, has unveiled a set of four jerseys which will be awarded to the winning cyclists of the forthcoming cycling race 2013 Giro d'Italia, scheduled to take place from  May 4, 2013, in Naples, Italy.

An avid follower of major international cycling races since decades, the 66-year-old designer’s latest sporty designs in multiple hues feature colourful piping, stripes on the cuffs and tiny sketches of professional cyclists.

Manufactured by the Italian firm Santini, the cyclist shirts include the iconic Maglia Rosa or Pink Jersey (to be given to the overall leader of the General Classification in the race), Blue Jersey (the King of the Mountains) Red Jersey (the points) and the White Jersey (the best young rider).

Knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 2000, Sir Paul Smith is internationally famous for his menswear designs.

The 96th edition of Giro d'Italia is slated to start in Naples and will finish in Brescia.
