Varun Bahl unveils S/S alluring colours line at Carma

The unveiling, held over a stylish afternoon at the Carma store, marked the collaboration between Varun Bahl and Malvika Poddar the multi-designer store. Guests browsed the collection over wine and cheese. In attendance were the Delhi glitterati: Selena Bijli, Minu and Niamat Bakshi, Divya Burman, Punit Juneja, Amol Vadhera, Pallavi Mohan, Zainab Nedou, and many others.

As the designer made a refreshing statement with his new collection, the signature embellisment, and unusual yet alluring colors came together in an assortment full of saris, anarkalis, and lehengas ideal for the current Spring-wedding season.

Speaking on the occasion Varun Bahl said, “I am very excited about this new partnership with Carma, which is one of the very first fashion stores to have opened in the country. I am confident that our clothes will find loyal patrons in Carma’s discerning clientele”.

His current collection for Spring-Summer 2013 is a mélange of fresh pastels, ivories, and golds, and the same theme is reflected in the collection he has designed for Carma. The fabrics include silk, georgette, chiffon, and cotton, and are embroidered in signature Varun Bahl motifs in resham, zari, and numerous other traditional techniques that he has mastered over the years.
