In this end-of-year party season, the tiny fashionistas can expect to have a whale of a time as the famous French fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier is set to release a miniature version of his adult haute couture line.

The new mini label Junior Gaultier Couture, which would be updated every six months, will include pint-size editions of the designer’s popular regular-size couture pieces.

Scheduled to be introduced sometime in the end of this year, the first collection will include a dress inspired from the finale ensemble of Gaultier’s India-inspired Spring/Summer 2013 haute couture line.

The outfit will feature a silk bodice and tulle skirt teamed with a Swarovski encrusted back buttoned shrug.

To-be-made only in ivory and pinkish-orange, the dress will have a limited run of total 90 pieces in each colour theme.

Infused with the Indian sub-continent’s mysterious gypsy life, the 61-year-old fashion veteran’s famous S/S-2013 haute couture featured a variety of patchwork and ruffle decorated fish tail gowns. The finale creation of the presentation took nearly 60-long-hours of painstaking effort.
