Her forte lies in high-end Indo-Western fusion clothing for woman. The product range caters to wide variety of clientele and includes everything from dresses, tunics, skirts, tops to gowns. While the classic takes support from embroidery and drape, the garment is contemporized through silhouette and styling. The femininity is accentuated through tucks, folds and pleats.

She runs her own designer label The Citrine. Launched in 2006, ‘The Citrine’ combines Indian sensibilities and crafts with western silhouettes. Poonam has envisaged a line of apparel that uses indigenous fabrics like chikankari, Bhagalpuri silks and environmentally sustainable organic cotton.
