Oliver Spencer bagged the best menswear designer award at WGSN. Staged by WGSN, the world's leading fashion forecaster, the WGSN Global Fashion Awards recognise and reward brilliance in fashion and retail design across the globe.

The awards were presented at a star-studded, exclusive gala event at the Victoria & Albert Museum in London.

Oliver Spencer is the name behind one of Britain’s most creative labels. From Coventry, England, Spencer is a designer and a self-taught tailor who launched his modern British label in 2002, with more than half of the line made in the UK.

Oliver describes his brand is an expression of modern man and draws inspiration from hunting and the military, adapting bits of Americana and ideas from Japan into his refi ned, English aesthetic.

When Spencer launched his label he wanted a collection that mirrored his own wardrobe, to bridge the gap between popular streetwear and traditional tailoring, combining quality fabrics and modern fits with old-school construction. Oliver Spencer clothes are worn by music icons, from The Rolling Stones to Paul Weller and The Doves, and by movie stars from Toby Jones, Martin Freeman to Benicio Del Toro.
