After creating contemporary trendsetting menswear for more than a decade, the New York-based label Duckie Brown is finally branching out into womenswear.

The label, which had earlier dabbled into female fashion through a small collection of knitwear, will feature its first-ever full-fledged women’s catwalk show at the upcoming New York Fashion Week in February, 2014.

Based on 10 looks, the collection will incorporate all the basic attributes of male style sensibilities, including fabrics and colour palette.

According to WWD, the line will showcase an array of eveningwear, coats, jackets and dresses.

Known for its elegant tailoring and sometime gender-bending whimsical sportswear pieces, Duckie Brown was founded by the CFDA Award-winning designer duo Daniel Silver and Steven Cox in the year 2001.
