Nuria Sarda, the creative director of the Spanish luxury lingerie and swimwear brand Andrés Sardá, has scooped up the covetable Creator of the Year award at the just concluded 51st edition of Salon International de la Lingerie event.

Daughter of the Catalan innerwear label founder Andrés Sardá Sacristán, Nuria has been awarded with the trophy for her originality, innovation, refinement and use of new materials in creations.

Prior to this latest conquest, the intimate apparel manufacturer had earlier received the same title in the year 2007 at the Parisian trade show.

The recently wrapped up three-day-long Salon International de la Lingerie featured latest Fall-Winter 2014/2015 collections from more than 550 international manufactures.

Founded in 1962, Andrés Sarda is largely being credited for introducing technological materials like Teflon, Nylon and Lycra in the field of lingerie making.

Other than the stand-alone store in Madrid, the brand operates through a network of 400 outlets in multi-brand establishments located in Germany, Belgium, Spain and France.
