Mary Katrantzou, the Greek-Born London-based fashion designer, has added another feather to her creative cap.

The London Fashion Week participant, who is known for her digital prints and embellishments, has now tried her hand in designing a wedding gown.

Created for the Walkabout Foundation founder Carolina Gonzalez-Bunster, the bespoke dress is inspired from the designer’s Autumn-Winter 2012 line’s cake a flake and ivory dresses.

Made from 120 meters of chiffon muslin and crinoline, the gown features a full asymmetric ruffled skirt and a halterneck bodice, which was loosely inspired from the Athens-born talent’s Spring-Summer 2013 collection’s sporty necklines.

Famous for her print heavy brightly coloured clothes, Mary Katrantzou is an alumnus of London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design.

Based in Dominican Republic, Walkabout Foundation works towards creating awareness for paralysis and other physical disabilities.
