The artistic director of New York-based contemporary fashion label Theory, Olivier Theyskens, has decided to part ways with the brand.

The Belgian fashion designer, who has been working with the firm since 2010, will be exiting the company to pursue other design ventures.

According to vogue.co.uk, the 37-year-old talent will depart after showing his final pre-spring/summer 2015 range for the label.

Before taking over as the creative helm of the retailer’s mainline in 2011, Theyskens had produced a separate collection titled Theyskens' Theory, which was later discontinued by the clothier.

The Brussels-born designer has also worked as artistic director for French fashion houses like Nina Ricci (from 2007 to 2009) and Rochas (from 2002 to 2006).

Founded in 1997, the global retailer Theory specializes in men’s and women’s fashion and accessory ranges.
