The British/Turkish Cypriot fashion designer Hussein Chalayan has signed on a three season collaboration deal with the Parisian luxury leatherwear expert of Turkish origin VSP.

Replete with the London-based creator’s signature conceptual approach and the French fashion house’s trademark leather and other fabrics, the first collection will feature some 20 pieces.

Made using shearling, linen and cotton, the womenswear range will include an array of dresses and jackets.

The launch of the collection will coincide with VSP’s first ever Paris flagship store’s opening party during the forthcoming calendar of Paris Fashion Week in September, 2014.

VSP owns two lines—the VSP mainline and the youthful and energetic PEACE by VSP. The label was founded in 2007 by the Turkish leather and shearling company Vespucci Group.

An alumnus of London’s Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Chalayan is a two times recipient of British Fashion Awards’ Designer of the Year titles.
