As has become tradition, stylist Ricardo Almeida opened the fashion shows for the Official Brazilian Fashion Calendar - São Paulo Fashion Week, whose 21st edition is being held from July 12 thru 18.
And this time he chose the Hippie movement from the end of the 1960s to develop his 2007 summer collection. To create the climate of peace and harmony the theme calls for, a woods was set up on the walkway with many sounds from more than 50 live voices.
The colors included, off whites, whites, grays and black, with nuances of rose and celestial blue.
The patterns are plain with stripes and prints with small and delicate motifs. Among the fabrics, the highlights are silo with linen, as well as other natural fibers, such as cool wool and cotton.
Once again, Almeida invested in dry cut shapes, living the man a long look. For next season, short-sleeved shirts and T-shirts reveal the arms.
The jeans are light. The tailoring, Ricardo Almeida's strong point, is still close-fitting and it emerged in two-button suits, which can be completely plain or with pin stripes.
